After 3 years of business we learned that
the fashion industry is extremely wasteful

Sustainability shouldn’t be an afterthought — so now it’s at the heart of everything we do

Each piece is thoughtfully created to reduce waste and encourage mindful consumption
while still being playful and one-of-a-kind

♻️ Upcycled Fabrics – Most of our hats are made from secondhand and repurposed textiles that are locally sourced, giving new life to materials that might otherwise go to landfills

🪡 Handmade in Small Batches – Every creation is carefully made by hand, keeping production slow and intentional to minimize overproduction

🌱 Mindful Materials – We use repurposed fabrics, natural fibers like cotton, and unique embellishments made of glass, clay, wood, and metal whenever possible

🚯 Plastic-Free Practices – From sourcing to shipping, we prioritize avoiding plastic materials and tools/supplies in our process

💌 Eco-Friendly Shipping – Our new packaging is recyclable and compostable, designed to break down naturally over time (about 24–48 months)

🧺 Local Sourcing – By sourcing most fabrics and supplies in Northern Colorado, we keep our supply chain close to home and reduce unnecessary transportation impact such as additional shipping waste and CO2 emissions from frequent deliveries

We wholeheartedly believe in
slow fashion ♻️🪩

creating timeless pieces that last a lifetime and
are better for humans and the planet

hello!

I'm Amber, the creator/owner of disco drips!
I grew up in Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. I have been attending music festivals of all shapes and sizes since 2017! My first big festival was Bonnaroo and my all-time favorites are Lightning in a Bottle, Dirtybird, and Bonnaroo.

I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. My earliest memories of art go back to when i was ~6 years old when my mom would often take me to Joann's to buy crafting kits, eventually she taught me how sew and alter years later.

Like many others, my small business journey started back in 2020 after I graduated college in the middle of the covid pandemic. I slowly started my shop experimenting with making wire wrapped crystal jewelry and slit weave clothing.

After Dirtybird Campinn b2b Okeechobee I came home absolutely full of inspiration to create my own festival accessories. I picked up my old sewing machine from my mom’s house and officially began hatting spring of 2022!

I am currently based out of Northern Colorado. When I am not making hats, I enjoy spending time with my cat Finn, hot yoga, swimming in large bodies of water, thrifting, drum circles, camping, hiking, festivals, and traveling.

Wearing disco drips is an incredible way to elevate your wardrobe both on and off the dance floor! You will move comfortably all night long while radiating confidence in a unique, sustainably made hat.

Handcrafted to last you for many festivals to come, expect to turn countless heads at your next event with a disco drips creation!
